Here is the first shot I ever saw of this old DRW in the wilds of Idaho. A friend of mine was vacationing and ran across this and immediately thought of me. Oh course, I had to know more but he couldn’t remember its exact location. Believe it or not he pulled up Google Earth and found the truck! I called the local elementary school up the road from where it was sitting. I somehow got the name and phone number of the owner from the secretary that answered the phone but I never made that call for some reason…
The first pictures received were small and blurry but they did get my “Spidy Senses” tingling!
This side of the truck took a touch of abuse with the wind and it being tarped for a significant portion of its time outdoors.
Over the years a lot of the accessories on the truck were “Repurposed” but the Fire Department thought that most of the stuff was still around.
Even in its natural setting you could see that this was a historically significant truck that could really shine in the right hands…
OK, a driver’s side view and everything looks original and in decent shape.
Everything looks good from the passenger side too!
One last peek at the interior.
Oh yeah! The money shot!!! You have to wonder with such low mileage what the condition of the engine and drivetrain was! Most definitely time to make a call to Prairie, Idaho to firm up a proposal!
