This is a wood buck for making the side panels of the Commuter. You can see all the supports for the mold but the skin has yet to be installed. The top piece will be raked over the mold to smooth the surface after the fiberglass resin has been applied.
Here you can see the inner skin is now installed and the whole form will be waxed with a release agent before the resin is applied.
A layer of resin is now applied and ready for smoothing.
A few last touches to assure that there are no low spots.
Here we go, panel forming time!
The panel is now cured and ready to remove from the buck.
Looks like a pretty successful job!
