At this point it was realized that even though this truck was weathered that maybe the original surface of this truck could be saved. You can see pictured here the original surface of the door compared to the polished front end of the truck.

Many, many man hours are going into the polishing of this truck. I never would have thought that it could have been brought back so nice...

Unbelievable!!! Even the interior is cleaning up nicely!
So much more time to spend but what a remarkable transformation so far!
As the truck was gone over something was realized. When the truck was built at Howe the original red color from the factory was resprayed with their Howe Fire Truck Red and the different red color you see coming through in spots was the original Jeep color coming through. The white on the bed was the primer Howe used when building the truck body. There will be an attempt to soften the white areas of the bed but the trucks original surface will be preserved.
