It might look like a tight fit, but there really was plenty of room to spare when it came to fitting this small block Chevy into the 677. Jesse relocated the engine back 18" to get a better weight distribution for rear axle traction. He also closed up the floor on the drivers side a bit to square up the opening and give a little more room to mount the drivers seat. He also fitted the radiator with a fan shroud and a guard to insulate and protect the upper radiator hose.
