As you can see here, Forward Control owners weren't the only people thinking that a tilt cab design would work out well.  This piece came from a 1958 "Willys Engineering Design Concepts" brochure.  Unfortunately, (for most people) this concept never became a reality.  As the piece states, the tilt mechanism is a spring loaded design.  I am working on an article that shows the main features of my tilt cab FC-150 which has a hydraulic cylinder tilt mechanism off an old cab over truck from a local boneyard.
